It depends on where they are and how big they are.

I thoroughly dislike men who look like they've been attacked by a graffitti artist from head to toe. The size and where on the body is also important. I don't tattoos on the face, head and neck area at all.

A tattoo is for life so what might look great on a young person can look positively ridiculous on an older person.
